Invisible Women
In recent years thousands of foreign women have been smuggled into Israel and have been sold as sex slaves for 8,000 to 10,000 dollars and forced to work up to 18 hours a day, earning the criminal underworld millions of dollars a year.
Women are held in apartments, bars and brothels where they are forced to have sex with up to 20-30 men a day. Brothels are open 24/7. They sleep in shifts, four to a bed. They are not allowed to walk freely. They cannot leave the apartment as they wish. These women work as prostitutes under the conditions of virtual slavery.
Prostitutes are increasingly being forced into drug addiction by brothel owners in a effort to make them compliant and dependent.
